The U.S. Defense Department celebrates military-connected children, youth, and teens not only during the month of April, but all year long!

According to the Defense Department, there are more than 1.6 million military children in the United States who make sacrifices and face unique challenges as a result of their parents' service. Flagler Schools currently has approximately 230 military families throughout its schools.

Military families move an average every two to three years, often making school transitions difficult.
