Flagler Schools Superintendent James Tager announces the summer programs that will begin their sessions virtually.
The Summer Reading, STEM, and ESE Extended School Year programs will be conducted virtually. The 21st Century summer program run by Flagler Technical Institute will also begin the summer on a virtual platform as well as the Road to Success program. Students who are identified as qualifying for these opportunities will be notified by their school regarding their electronic devices.
All other activities on our campuses are on hiatus, as are any programs run by third-party groups. We are targeting opening our campuses to students July 1, provided we can meet the requirements to maintain the health guidelines presented to us.
Superintendent Tager says, “We continue to monitor federal, state, and local guidelines as we make these decisions. I know this news may be difficult for some of our families, but we must adhere to these guidelines given to us by the medical experts.”
Flagler Schools is pleased to announce our mobile feeding sites will continue to operate through the summer. Food and Nutritional Services will have updates to locations and times in the next couple of weeks.
Again, Flagler Schools will continue to monitor the guidance from health officials. Please follow our social media and website closely for possible updates as we move through the summer months.
